I'm a counsellor, trauma therapist, mother and daughter. Therapy is my passion, I am dedicated and have extensive experience in providing a safe therapeutic space for children and adults. I use a range of techniques including creative therapy to help people learn and understand about themselves.

Building a relationship is key in therapy, promoting emotional intelligence, wellbeing and resilience. My goal is to empower clients to achieve this.

Therapy helped me so much when I was going through a very difficult time in my life. I want to be able to help people in the same way.

Growing up, I often felt uncomfortable in my own skin and searched for alternative ways to cope with life - ways that, ultimately, didn't help. Thankfully, I was offered a lifeline, and taking it changed the course of my journey.

Watching a child struggle with their mental health is one of the hardest things a parent can face. As a mother of two, I deeply understand the overwhelming desire to take away their pain and struggles. Today, I work to support parents through this emotional time - standing beside them and using the tools and insights I've gained to help them navigate their child's challenges with compassion and strength.

How I Work

As I continue on my therapeutics journey my learning has taken me to believe that trauma sits in our bodies, I very much bring this into my practice. To be able to help my clients move into their bodies from their heads is transformative. Finding the words can be the most illuminating way forward, finding the feelings in our body can also be truly insightful. This brings me back to the most important part of therapy, the relationship, the understanding of the client to be able to see the best way to support each individual, adult or child. Talking therapy can be the way, somatic therapy can also be the way.

Testimonial

“I met Georgina at a school meeting, at which it was proposed that she counsel me on a one-to-one basis to help me resolve some of my son's problems. She instantly came across so personably, that I had no hesitate in agreeing, and was not disappointed. She came to my home for each meeting and made me feel at ease throughout. She is calm, positive, non-judgemental and very likeable.”
