I am an integrative psychotherapist, drawing from various psychological theories and approaches to suit your needs. With experience in the NHS's inpatient and outpatient services and bereavement care, I have worked extensively with sexual and domestic abuse, loss, identity, anxiety, depression, trauma and LGBTQ+ issues. I draw primarily from psychodynamic, humanistic and existential perspectives, tailoring therapy to your unique needs. I am also a lecturer on psychotherapy programmes at Goldsmiths University.
My Approach
In a confidential space, we will explore how past experiences shape patterns that may no longer serve you, fostering self-awareness and encouraging healthier ways of relating to yourself and others for lasting change. I engage with your story, create an environment where you can speak freely, examine the meaning of your symptoms, gain insights, and challenge your personal myths - those believes that influence your understanding of your experiences. Together, we can actively create a life that aligns with your values and aspirations.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
Finding the freedom and responsibility to feel different and control your feelings can be difficult and impossible when imagining it. Within our collaboration, I facilitate a process to revisit, re-experience, and name emotions, a gateway to discovering meaning specific to you, which has an adaptive and regulating value.
Taking ownership of your emotions brings awareness of your feelings, yielding awareness of your choices regarding what to do with them and living a life aligned with your values and authenticity.
